Removing the winch and winch room
Once the A-Frame was removed and before we tackled removing the wooden deck, the old winch and winch room were dismantled. Another job we completed in 2006.
The winch was huge and heavy so had to be cut up into smaller sections so it could be craned off the vessel and sent for scrap.
With all the metal we had cut down from the A-Frame and the fish-hold we had over 14 tons of steel to dispose of.
